Ezra and Maddison proudly display the book that has his published story.

Ezra and Maddison submitted some of their best work to a children’s literature publishing house, Far Out, last year and this week Ezra received the book in which his prose is published. Here is his published description of a holiday in the snow:

Nothing, nothing at all but an endless white desert covering all the land scape around me, with green shoots poking up from the snow. Frozen cheeks and a numb chin, flying down the mountain at lightning speeds, breathing in the bitter, cold, thin air, flashing through my lungs, smelling frozen pine sap in the breeze. The feel of freedom is with me.

My ears stung while I was skiing from the ear piercing whistle of the mountain, dodging endless trees, flying over countless jumps and turning past frozen lakes. The feel of freedom is still with me.

Skiing solo is fun, but with doubles, triples and quadruples it is the most thrilling experience anyone could have. Freedom is staying with me.

Flying down the mountain comes with a price. Two people were rushed to the hospital. The feel of freedom is dying from me.
