Teaching and learning

Feluga State School follows the current Curriculum to the Classroom (C2C). C2C units of work are closely related to the Australian Curriculum launched in 2012.

In 2012, units in English, Maths and Science were stipulated and available for use. In 2013, units in History and in 2014, Geography were added to that list. In 2015, Economics and Business and Civics and Citizenship became teachable subjects for upper school children.

Because of the size of the school, we follow multi-age level or differentiated C2C units of work in each of the mentioned subjects.

At Feluga, improvement in reading is our number one priority (as it is throughout most of Australia) and there are specific requirements regarding daily reading lessons in class as well as reading requirements at home.

Itinerant teachers also visit this school.  These are: Indonesian (Years 3-6), Physical Education and the Arts .
