Physical Education
Feluga State School prides itself on providing a wide variety of sporting opportunities for students. Students participate in weekly physical education lessons with Mrs Lydia Valeriano, which are aimed at improving students' skills in a assortment of sports.
Feluga State School students are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of sporting programs such as inter-school athletics, district cross country, inter-school sports, NRL coaching and swimming lessons.
We are lucky to have regular visits from representatives of our local rugby league teams, including the Tully Tigers, the North Queensland Pride and the North Queensland Cowboys. Please contact the school to enquire about sports programs being run.
Inter-school sports
Throughout the school year, students in Year 3-6 participate in interschool sports. Schools within the Tully Cluster compete in a variety of sports including rugby league, touch football, netball, soccer and cricket.
Swimming lessons
Swimming lessons occur in Term 1 and Term 4 as part of our physical education lessons. We consider these lessons a compulsory part of our sporting curriculum as being a competent swimmer is an essential skill for life.
